Climbing

Illustration Friday - Climbing

My piece for this week’s Illustration Friday Challenge is rather timely as there are reports of a newly discovered rock climbing catfish. So once again I pulled out my old and dry brushpen. I need to get some more of those. Not that I dislike dipping my sable brush into a jar of india ink–actually it can be a cathartic experience. Yet having the freedom to do some inking while the kids run around me without the fear of a big mess, now that is just priceless!!

Late Night Warm Up

I pulled out my old and dry brush pen to create this pseudo Skrull looking dude. No real purpose here. Just playing with an old brush.

Contained

Only in New York. Or perhaps–once again in New York, a potentially catastrophic event occurs as a US Airways Jet makes an emergency landing in the Hudson River. Immediately, though not spoken aloud, most thoughts turn to terrorists. In an intrepid display of spirit the fear of many was kept contained. No terrorist cell here, just a flock of seagulls. That inspired this inspired a quick Terror Bird drawing on my part.
